Phnom Penh, Cambodia's laid back capital, has 2 full scale 18-hole golf courses on its western outskirts. In early 2007 the Sofitel Phokeethra Country Club opened, and will be followed in late 2007 by the Nick Faldo designed Angkor Golf Course - it is claimed this course could emerge as not only the finest in Cambodia, but one of the best in the Asia-Pacific region.

Angkor Golf Course - Nick Faldo brings world class golf to Cambodia with a PGA standard championship golf course which boasts a lengthy 7,230 yards and a 72 par. Located close to the heart of Siem Reap, the Angkor Golf Course features generous fairways, an impressively bold bunkering style, and greens with plenty of subtle undulations that not only encourage but reward a variety of approach shots. Faldo believes that golfers enjoy themselves most when they are challenged, and this is the underlying approach to his design style.
